Hey, guys! It's been a long time coming, but this month saw the release of my latest game project, Orion's Odyssey: A Pattern Blocks Adventure. The game is available NOW as a downloadable title on the Nintendo 3DS eShop and DSi Shop for $4.99!
We'd been working on Orion's Odyssey since late 2009, so it feels wonderful to finally see it out in the wild! I was art director and one of the animators on the game, and fellow DA artists , , and also helped to bring this project to life.
You can check out the trailer and screenshots on Nintendo.com here:
I encourage everyone to check the game out, and if you play it, please let us know what you think! We're always looking for feedback to make our games the best they can be! ^_^

Considering taking commissions again, maybe...
So, I haven't done commissions for about a decade now. When I used to do them, I was regularly burned by customers, not paid/underpaid, harassed, etc., and it really turned me off to doing more. I've also been extremely busy between my full time job and working on indie games on the side, so I haven't really had time to devote to anything else. But I still get commission requests now and then, and I'm wondering if maybe I should give it another shot someday, maybe in a more limited capacity. Probably something like $20 sketches focusing on headshots/busts and only taking one or two at a time. Something I can realistically do in a reasona
My new Nintendo DS game is up on Kickstarter! :D
Short version:
The Nintendo DS game I've been working on for the past few years is up on Kickstarter! The game is done, but we just need to raise some funds to get it released on DSiWare and 3DS eShop. I was art director and one of the sprite animators on the project, so if you like my art, please go check it out!
Robots! Mermaids! Geometric puzzles! Time travel! Space T.Rex! Go go go go go!

Two weeks and $1467 left to go! Help us make this happen! :D

Any fellow Miiverse artists out there?
Hey, DA peeps!
So, it's been a while since my last journal entry, but at least I've posted (a little) since then. It's mostly been embroidered magnets, but, hey, I said it would probably be crafty stuff, so at least I didn't lie. :)
I've started sketching a little more since then, largely thanks to the Wii U and the highly addictive Miiverse. New Super Mario Bros. U especially helped me break through a long-ass art block by prompting me to post something after completing levels, which started to get my creative juices flowing again. For those of you who own a Wii U, my ID is RainKnight. I've started posting some of my Miiverse art on m
Crafting time?
It's not that I mean to drop off of the face of DA for a year at a time, really...! The sad truth is that I just haven't been doing much art, or at least not much that I can post here. Still working in tech support full time, still doing game development on the side, so not much time is left over for personal projects.
With that said, there may be a few things I can post, though it may stray a bit from the usual. I'm thinking of posting some small craft projects I did for Christmas gifts last year and maybe digging through the archives and finding some stuff from my old con portfolio that I never posted online. I am trying to find time t

Congratulations! It must be awesome to see a visual become a reality, though I'm sure you worked hard for it.
