And to the person below me, with the onset of the Mario Party games, Nintendo has retroactively decided the most common Birdo (the pink one with the bow) is a girl, despite what the Super Mario Bros. 2: Doki Doki Panic manual says. Much like how the New Super Mario Bros. games have caused them to decide the Koopalings are not Bowser's children, in direct contradiction of Super Mario Bros. 3m
In the SMB2 original manual... Says "Birdo is a man"...
So, yeah, I'm quite aware of that. I just don't understand why everyone has to be so transphobic.
But I really don't think the Nintendo maked a apropriated "couple".
Mario and Peach, Luigi and Daisy yes... But Yoshi and Birdo.. Well... Very peoples know about that, so... Yeah, is that. '-'
Honestly, I'm not sure why Luigi and Daisy are supposed to make sense together other than "Well, he's a plumber and she's a princess, so... yeah." Luigi and Daisy hadn't ever been in a game together before the various Mario sports games. At least Yoshi and Birdo have the common ground of both being reptilian and producing eggs that are then thrown at their enemies regardless of their gender.
Well... Good art! ^^
