Green Hills, Good Friends

So, Sonic turns 20 today... Man, do I feel old. I still have fond memories of playing the original Genesis games at my friend's house when I was a kid. I was so excited when Sonic 2 came out and we got to play co-op (of course I was always Tails, heh). Good times.

This is actually based on an older sketch, maybe from 2005 or so? But I had an idea for how to finish it late last year when I was trying to think of a Secret Santa gift for someone. I've always liked the friendships between Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles and think they compliment each other well. Even with all of the other characters that have entered the series since then, I think, for me, these three will always represent the core of what made the series special.
